Week 13 of Syntax Sundays: Sanita Fejzic

Sanita Fejzic, a fiction writer based in Ottawa, continues to amaze us with her beautiful love songs and laments. Inspired by Pablo Neruda’s work, there is a gentle correlation of essence and style with Neruda’s Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair, evident in Fejzic‘s use of rich and harsh nature imagery and her unique utilization of spacing, capturing an intense depth and sincerity. She manages to clash specificity and obscurity in a manner that foregrounds the passion and purity of her work.

Fejzic has also recently been shortlisted for the Ken Klonsky Novella Contest! Check out the article Carleton University wrote about it here.
