Poetry Submission by Colton David

First-time submitter and Ryerson film student Colton David has sent us these conversational poems that utilize space in an intriguing manner. In “The Hug,” the space captures intimacy and distance, while in “Dream 42: Space Opera Dropout,” it has a more isolating effect. Repetition is also critical in David’s pieces, acting as a type of echo that gets muddied as the poems push forward. Give David’s pieces a read below, and check out his Twitter and Tumblr.
